Fabricated Roll Runners
Roll Runners are made in a standard width (usually 26" to 41") by an infinite length. These installations are either created by utilizing the standard width or by modifying the roll runner to diminish or expand the width(s). The key is to fit the stairs or hallway shape, while keeping the pattern and design flow running smoothly. Sometimes the roll runner also comes in a matching broadloom piece, which can be combined to create large hallway areas and very wide stairs.

Broadloom
Broadloom is the term most people refer to as wall-to-wall carpet. Many broadloom styles are perfect for stairs and hallways, especially when the home décor is more contemporary. Each stair or hallway is measured, cut-to-fit, and then edged with either binding or serging. Hallway runners can either be installed or loose-laid like an area rug.

Broadloom Borders
Broadloom Borders are projects utilizing wall-to-wall carpet (broadloom) and either adding or inlaying a border design. This method is a custom fabrication technique that compliments a home's decorating theme, and accentuates unusual curves, corners or angles on staircases and hallways.

Fabric Borders
Fabric Borders are utilized to enhance broadloom wall-to-wall carpet runners. Rather than merely binding or serging the runner edges, a fabric can be applied as a decorative accent. SRS can incorporate upholstery fabrics such as cotton, linen, chenille, leather or any other durable fabric. In some cases, metal upholstery studs can be applied to the border edges for a truly unique look.

Custom Tufted
Custom Tufted runners are generally manufactured overseas. However, the design pattern, template layout and installation are all done by the SRS staff. The specifications are sent to artisans overseas to be either hand-tufted or hand-knotted. This process is for the customer looking for a custom style that cannot be achieved using roll runners or wall-to-wall broadloom.
